Åsnen National Park

Åsnen National Park is 1,873 hectares and is located in Alvesta and Tingsryd municipalities, adjacent to Växjö municipality. 75 percent of the surface consists of water.

Here you can get the feeling of wilderness, experiences of old beech forest, a lake archipelago with about a hundred large islands to small islets and experience a rich plant and animal life.

The forest in Bjurkärr (at Entré Sunnabron) is very old and has an untouched, primeval forest-like character and is known for its great species richness of lichens, fungi and living insects, among other things.

The mythical Trollberget on the west side of Åsnen offers exciting forest walks, especially for the little ones.
