Historic Walking Tour at Getnö Estate with Knight Håkan Jonsson Läma

The year is 1320 and Getnö Gård/Estate appears in the historical records for the first time. The knight, armycommander and nobleman Håkan Jonsson Läma, with large estates, is the owner of the farm by lake Åsnen´s southern parts. Follow the knight on a journey through the captivating history of Getnö, the border region and the medieval Värend-area. Let yourself be carried away by the wingbeats of history and hear about life in the Middle Ages, local castles and trade routes, see ancient farmland remains, hear of tar burners, historic windmills, oak boats from the 11th century, farm tools from the past, the 19th century wolf times, exciting anecdotes and much more. The tour is given in English.
