Stenfors

The ironworks at the streams in the river Bräkneån, just below the outlet of Lake Tiken, emerged in the late 17th century. Until the early 1900s the area around Stenfors housed a lot of different ironworks and mills. Today Stenfors is an abandoned industrial landscape where you can take a walk around the cultural trail and look at a large number of ruins from various mill activities such as forges, workshops and storage buildings.
